What actually matters
- Content quality > quantity — Co-viewing 30 min of educational content beats 10 min of YouTube Shorts alone.
- No screens during meals — Eating becomes mindless. Pickier eaters down the line.
- No screens 1 hour before bed — Blue light delays melatonin. Sleep tanks.
- Active vs passive — Apps that require tapping/responding are better than passive video.
Replace screen time with toy bins on rotation. Three toys out at a time, change weekly — it feels like new toys every Sunday.
